University District Location

The legendary Cedars Restaurant on Brooklyn has been within the heart of the U-District for the past 40-plus years. The Brooklyn location serves a wide range of Indian curries, naans, and tandoori fried meats alongside Mediterranean specialties and Middle Eastern favorites.

Many of our menu items have become beloved favorites for our regular patrons, including Cedars’ coconut curry, tandoori chicken, tikka masala, and more.

Our Butter Chicken has been called the best in the world by many guests, and our naan is also highly praised. Don’t miss out on our bottomless Chai, which is authentically prepared and very delicious.

Cedars continues to provide the best Indian/Mediterranean dining experience, serving the local guests and university students, faculty and staff that have known and loved us for decades. We want each and every guest to walk through our doors and sit down, feeling as if they have been welcomed into the dining room of a family friend.

At Cedars Restaurant in the University District, we offer take-out and delivery in addition to normal in-house dining experiences. We also have patio seating available during the spring and summer, when weather permits.

This location serves lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Sundays.
